Mercury mTab2 launched at Rs.11999-Full review-specification


Kobian has launched a new version of its sub-Rs. 10,000 tablet, the Mercury mTab, called the Mercury mTab2, priced at Rs. 11,999. Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the refreshed 7-inch Mercury mTab2 is “a faster, lighter and smarter device” compared to the original.

The original Mercury mTab tablet featured a 1.2GHz triple-core processor, certainly a rarity in the market. The new mTab2 will apparently be faster with a 1GHz dual-core processor however. Other specifications include 512MB of RAM, a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, 8GB of built-in storage expandable with microSD (up to 32GB), integrated speaker and mic, USB2.0 port, HDMI out, and Wi-Fi connectivity. 3G connectivity can be managed via a USB data card.

Speaking on the launch of the Mercury mTab2, Sushmita Das, Country Manager - India , Kobian Pte Ltd., said:

Price, Availability and Warranty
Mercury mTab2 comes with an MRP of Rs. 11,999 and is available ex-stock with a warranty period of 1 year. Standard pricing and warranty clauses are applicable on the products as announced from Kobian. These products are available through Kobian Authorized Distributors in India.
