The new Karbonn Smart Tab (also called Karbonn Smart tab 1 or karbonn ST1)is a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen tablet running the latest Android OS v4 (ICS ) . It is the first tablet from the Karbonn mobiles and is targeted at the masses by making it available at an affordable price . It is a powerful and features packed tablet powered by a powerful processor and supporting high speed 3G (through external 3G data card) and WiFi connectivity . Karbonn mobiles is one of the top Indian brand in the mobile market but will have to compete hard with the current market leader (Indian brand) Micromax Mobiles which have also launched their first tablet , Micromax Funtab.
Karbonn will have to either compete on pricing (price it below Rs 6,500), or in terms of content. Karbonn has been building its own app store for some time now, and that makes us believe that it will indeed offer some exciting applications with this tablet; may be it will include some extra games.
In terms of pricing, there are many tablets in the Rs 7,000 bracket. Apart from the three above mentioned tablets, there are more tablets from Zing and Intex in the market as well and therefore it's safe to assume that Karbonn will offer the tablet for a similar price.

commentsReceived the Karbonn tablet from Naaptol very well before the time they promised i.e. within 3 working days. but the saddest part was the packages has some instruction guide which will not guide you properly. it is not supporting SD 8 GB card which is very well in Nokia 5233 and also tested in other , having MTS ZTE data card still unable to internet as Karbonn restricted to only to some data cards of Huwei. To know the features tried to reach karbonn mobiles customer care on 080 41378858 and Toll Free Number : 18001024660 but no response on toll free.
ReplyDo not know how to get a demo of this product as online also no demo was provided apart from features. please think twice before buying this product as in future we may not get the services. please call toll free or other number then you can know the fact. No complaint for Naaptol as they delievered product very well on time.
Camera is also not good looks like 0.3 mega pixel.

Replyskype is not supported..nimbuzz is not support...many game are not support...camera quality is very bad like VGA,support only airtel 3g,tata photon 2 model,reliance 3g and mts m blez..
video is very good and game 3d effect good...
sound quality is low...and is support only 3G sim via modem...
Karbonn Tab comes almost at a very cheep price,, i dont think those applications you have mentioned dont work,,, There may be some technical problems,, Do contact us or and other Forums,, then the camera,, its always VGA quality from Chinese manufacturers,,,

for wat shud i go karbon or micromax in terms f evrythng user interface is micromax a better option than karbon.
Replyas far as i am concerned,, go for micromax funbook,, because both have almost same features,, but funbook is cheeper in price,, do check the video reviews in youtube and further confirm,,,

ReplyI was placed order on 31st may 2012 on infibeam.com for karbonn smart tab1, They delivered on 2nd june 2012 at 2:30 PM, then i was used it for just half an hour, its got hanged, its don't have any response for restart, reset, only one option we have that is we have to wait till the battery of the tablet discharges completely.In the karbonn authorized service centers also don't know about the product, how they solve the problem.The performance also very very bad

ReplyMr Ramanareddy N , You have to charge the tablet for at leasrt 5 hours as soon as you get the device,, also some chinease phones touch screen doesnot respond properly while charging,, the same is the case of micromax a50 phone,,while charging the touch screen is not at all accurate
