Panasonic has announced their latest rugged laptop in their range called Toughbook S10 has sleek magnesium alloy casing light but strong to protect against electromagnetic waves and heat dispersion, only 3.0 lbs weight, 12.5 hours long battery life, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, optional 3G mobile broadband, spill resistant keyboard survive from bumps and bangs and waterproof, shock-mounted hard drive, 12.1-inch display screen, second generations Intel Core i5 processor with vPro technology, easy to use circular scrolling touchpad, up to 30 inch drop-resistant design, faster data transfer using USB 3.0 port and top opening shell DVD drive.
The Toughbook S10 has powered with 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-2520M processor with 3MB cache and Turbo Boost technology, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz extendable to 8GB, 320GB 5400rpm hard drive, Intel QM 67 video controller with 1.5GB VRAM and running Windows 7 Professional 32-bit/64-bit operating system.
The Panasonic S10 has display of 12.1-inch anti-glare WXGA LED Backlit screen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, spill resistant keyboard, High Definition Audio, Speakers, Electrostatic touchpad with circular scrolling, Super Multi DVD drive, dimension 11.1 x 8.3 x 0.9-1.5 inches and weight 3.0 lbs.
The Panasonic Toughbook S10 has connectivity of optional Gobi 2000 3G mobile broadband, Wi-Fi, Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, USB 3.0 port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, VGA and HDMI port, Microphone and Headphone port, SDXC card reader, 12400mAh Lithium Ion battery provides up to 12.5 hours of battery life needs 3.5 hours of charging when off and 6.5 hours when on, Trusted platform module security chip, Computrace theft protection, Intel Anti-Theft technology and optional finger print reader.
The Panasonic Toughbook S10 will be available from September 2011 and the price is $2,449 with 3-year warranty.
