Sony Ericsson brand was once regarded as one of the finest MP3 players for any music lover, but since the launch of Apple based music players, Walkman has lost much of its popularity. But it does not mean that Sony has given up over the brand. The company still produces many phones and standalone products based on the Walkman Brand. Ericsson Mix Walkman is just another example of these devices. Sony has mixed the features of a smartphone with the Mp3 player. To find out more, read our review.

Talkingabout the specifications and design of the Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman phone.

The Sony Ericsson design makes it look like a very inferior product. The plastic body feels light and often very cheap in the hand. The physical buttons on the phone do not respond well to your hand. The major flaw of the design is its lock key, which is right under the LCD of the phone. During operation I noticed that I accidently pressed the lock key again and again. Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman features a touchscreen of 3 inches which features a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The phone can easily be used in the direct sunlight thanks to its extremely good viewing angles.

Moving further down the review, the major disappointment about the phone is its screen response. The screen isn’t capacitive, which means that you will need to literally paste your finger on the screen firmly to operate it. The problem with these kinds of screens is that even little tasks such as typing becomes hectic and a chore to complete. The phone features the Touch UI from Sony Ericsson, which isn’t as good as the Android interface, but it still offers plenty of customization options.

I will say that the Sony Ericsson Walkman Mix is a great phone, paired with MP3 playing capabilities at a high standard, this is an excellent choice for youngsters.
